Must do, Could do, Should do

Must do
Should do
Could do
Might do

How do you prioritise your workload and day to day activities? Breaking things down into must do, could do and should do can help if this suits the way you approach things. Other models include urgent and non urgent. Most people use a bubble up or wastbin overflow technique!

Must do

What is essential. If not done there will be financial or emotional problems as a result. It might be seen as urgent or important with an early deadline. It needs to be in the dairy

Should do

It would be helpful if done but does not matter if not achieved early on. It might be non urgent, but important to you with a later deadline.

Could do

It is not urgent, not important, you want to and there is a vague deadline

Might do

It would be ideal to do but no one would notice if you did not do it. It is non urgent, not important, you dream you might do it and there is no deadline.
